What a tournament of Sunniva! She has not boxed since the Olympics in Paris, and she have even been out with a knee injury for several months. We started sparring again in january, and the whole team have been looking forward to this moment. Back in the ring doing what we love the most. This was also Sunnivas first fight with her new club "Nova Bokseklubb Trondheim". Please give our new club a follow on social media!

We traveled to Borås on Thursday together with Sofia Stigen Sørensen, Sunniva's parents and coach Ole. Sofia has been with us for nine days to prepare for this tournament together with Sunniva. Thank you very much for the nice days! There seemed to be five or six boxers in Sunniva's class, but unfortunately they ended up being only three. Luckily for us, we made it to the semi-finals so we could get two fights.

The first fight was against the Dutch Kris Anne Mulder. A tough boxer with whom we have previously sparred. There was never any doubt about where the victory would end up, and Sunniva was ready for Sunday's finals. There she was to meet Monika Langerova from the Czech Republic. We have never sparred or fought her before, but she is a well known name for us since we have competed in many of the same tournaments.

Langerova is very tough, and she came on in all three rounds. But Sunniva was on fire in this match. Some of the judges had 10-8 in more than one round. Sunniva boxed at her very best and secured a unanimous victory. She even got the prize for best "showmanship". We are very happy to be back and we look forward to the future.

Thanks for all the support!
