So finally we are here, Strandja tournament 2023 in Bulgaria. One of the biggest and most prestigious tournaments in the world. 38 of the best nations is here, and teams like USA, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Australia and China have found the way to Bulgaria.

We arrived Saturday after a long trip and some problems with our plane....

After a great debut in the Elite category last week, in the Golden Girl Championship, we needed some sparring before going to Strandja this Saturday. It`s not easy to get good sparring, and sometimes it feels extra hard when you really need it...

But luckily we got some good friends out there, people who always helps us out...

We have just finished a great long weekend with sparring together with Aoibhe Carabine from Ireland. She claimed a silver medal in last years European Championship for U22`s, and is a tough fighter that goes all in. We ended with six sessions, and four of them was sparring. Totally 18 rounds of free sparring, good for the both of them. ...

The dates are announced; March 15-31, 2023. Sunniva is ready to step up her game and meet the best Elite Women in the world! She looks forward to the event ;-)

Sunniva became the first world champion ever from Norway when she beat Angie Carolina 5-0 in the final of the world championship in Spain. She controlled the match from the first second, and she never looked back. The judges scored the first round 10-8, so they saw the same that we felt, Sunniva...

So finally the Big Day is here, it`s time to decide who is the world`s best boxer in the 75kg class. We have beaten Kazaksthan, USA and India on our way, and now Colombia is standing in the blue corner. She is a strong girl, but we believe that Sunniva is the better boxer. Sunniva took a clear victory in today's round of 16 against an opponent from Kazakhstan. We had done a good job up front, so we knew what was coming and Sunniva solved the task perfectly. With 10-8 from all judges in the last two rounds it was never a doubt who would win. Our opponent also got two deductions...
